Forcing search engine back to main page.

[Morningside]

Is there a way to do this? For example:

www.example.com
Gives main page

www.example.com/testing.html
Shows up. But when click forces the user back to main page. main reason is due to the 'engine' shows the home server page.

http://88.123.456.789/testing.html
and my local address is dynamic (and cannot guarantee that address) I would like the search engine to show it as:

www.example.com

Webshite is NOT worth posting here as it is in VERY early development stage and is only used to see what happens in the real world. so

What language u using for your site? because you could use PHP to check the referral page..

I think that there is a way with .htaccess too but i havn't actualy used that method before.

I can't make sense of your question, I'm afraid.

You can set up a permanent re-direct (301) in .htaccess by adding this line:

redirect 301 /testing.html /

htaccess... I have had a good read about it now. That what I needed. Thanks all.
