Recovering deleted emails.
Discussion
IMAP is where all the emails stay on the server and you access them in a client/server type fashion meaning you dont need to keep a dekstop/laptop/palmtop in sync, you just get the one version of the truth from the server.
With POP emails they are transferred to the client that recieves them first and deleted from the server (though there is a flag to override this)

If you are collecting them from a POP server it may be possible that a copy has been kept there (the time for which they are kept is configurable). How long ago was the email sent/received?
