What's the consensus on these things about turning them off at night or when you're not using them?

Do you leave them on 24/7 or not?

Leave it on. Doesn't use much in the way of elastictrickery, saves time when you boot up the pc. Set it up so that it won't reply to ping requests, and you won't have and problems.

I leave mine on all the time, my sister came up to me with problems with hers, she would keep loosing the settings and it wouldnt let her connect. Once we established the relevant security settings into it i told her to leave it switched on permanantly, no problems since.

Just for the record, I leave mine on 23/7.

ETA: Don't forget to backup the settings on your router.
