I have a very old copy of Dreamweaver with has both Mac and PC programs on it.

Great I thought, although it is old, it is perfectly suitable for what I need I'll shove it on the new mac.

Nope. Doesnt like the installer. It is Dreamweaver 1.2 (i told you it was old!) and says it is requires Mac OS7.5.5 or above.

Is there anything out there for my intel mac that will allow me to install it?

If it requires OS 7.x or above it's pre-OSX and probably not Carbonised. This means it needs Classic (and environment that Apple provided to run OS9 in OSX) to run. Classic is only available for Power PC as Apple did not want to spend the time or hundreds of thousands of dollars to re-write OS9 for Intel.

So the short answer is: Sorry you cannot use that on an Intel Mac.

And it probably wouldn't be a nice experience even if you could.

But if you've got an old G4 or G5 mac then shuftle around finding your install DVD's and stuck Classic on, it should work fine (hopefully).

If it's a legit program, phone up Adobe and ask how much for an upgrade

Classic Apps won't work on an Intel Mac IIRC.

Could always install Windows and use the PC version.

ETA: you could try an emulator like sheepshaver, haven't myself.
