Any of the online pc suppliers will sell you cable.
You'll also need to get some faceplates (they fit a standard power box) if you want to wall or surfacr mount and RJ-45 termination blocks for the faceplates. These normally come in 2 or 4 socket plates. To terminate to the block, you can use either the crappy BT plastic tool that you can get for about £3 (just a piece of plastic to push the wire into the junctions, urrgh), or a proper punch down tool, which costs a fair whack more, but is infinitely better (I've used my company one only a few dozen times, all at home!). Might be worth seeing if you can borrow one. After you punch down wrongly the first time, and cut the cable off whilst pushing 5mm of wire into the block, you'll get the hang of it, t'is very simple and quick...
I did find one place online that sold termination blocks for home networking that were essentially RJ-45 sockets both ends, so you could wire with ready made cables, but never found them again.
Google for the colour coding, or just make sure you're consistent.
If you want to do a proper job, you can always buy a small patch frame, and put it under the stairs, or up in the loft...

allgonepetetong,

this is what Plotloss and I do for a living, I supply it and he installs it.

PM me and I am sure we can sort something out, and at least give you some ideas

Im sure Maplin use to do a punchdown kit for like £15 crimpers and punch down.. I always borrow my works kit tho with the cat5 testing kit too..

also better to get solid core wire for connecting to cat5 modules.
