SolidWorks 3D Software

I'm currently modelling the major components in an engine for a uni assignment but have stumbled at th elast hurdle. Does anyone know this software fairly well at all?

I'm trying to create a timing belt but there are two issues;

1) How do you make it flexible?
2) How do you model the teeth?

Any help would be appreciated.

Teeth: should be in engineering books or on manufacturer's site, just draw one and use it as a pattern.
Flexible... Don't really think that's possible (from the top of my head, don't have sw here). I'd calculate the shape it'll have and draw that?

Not tried to make anything elastic but if you are wanting to animate your engine then I think the crucial thing is the mating of the assembly, do not us vertical,horizontal or parallel etc there is an animated engine done in Solidworks on their website www.solidworks.com/pages/successes/CustomerDesignContest/CustomerDesignContest2005Entries.html?Category=Animations
or www.stevepdesign.demon.co.uk/gallery.htm for some examples.
If you mate the belt similar to how you would mate gears I think that will work.
