Mac JPG Batch Resize
Discussion
Thanks to a fellow PH'er im now a proud owner of a g5 iMac, it's sitting proudly in our lounge, but i need some advice re software.
I've had a quick look at the Mac software thread, but didnt see much to help.
Last night, i was updating our online gallery with baby pics, to do this, i usually sort the pics, rename them, batch resize them with irfanview or psp9, then ftp them to the host.
The bit i'm struggling with is a Mac alternative to Irfanview/PSP9 that will do batch resize of JPG's. I'm sure I can find some decent FTP software without a hitch, but some advice on the graphics app would be lovely.
Last night, I was in a bit of a rush, and ended up remote desktop'ing to the windows PC upstairs to do it...seems a shame to waste the mac on remote desktop when I know full well it can do the task with the right software.

There may be more if you change the search phrase.
The one I was thinking of is there - PhotoToolCM, which is a context menu plug-in rather than an App. Let's you select whichever photos in a folder that you want to do the action on, and right click (or Control click for single mouse button users) and select the function.

Hey Colin, Glad you are still enjoying it
Anyways.. I dont use this myself, but a friend of mine swears by "GraphicConverter" Its been around for years for the Mac and seems quite popular generally, so it must be worth a look.

Do you have iPhoto on your G5? If so just import them all to there, select the ones you want, export and choose the option to resize.
Alternatively a quick google search for batch resizing jpeg on os x turns up lots of alternatives.
Thats what I do, saves loading another bit of software on the system when you have it in iphoto.Alternatively a quick google search for batch resizing jpeg on os x turns up lots of alternatives.
If you dont want to keep the photos in iphoto just delete them all after downsizing them.
