Pretty much as the title suggests really, I have been sent some WMV files of a family weddding in Australia but my grandmother is hard of sight and can't really see it on my laptop. Is there any tool (free!) that will convert from WMV to a "DVD Format" what ever that is so I can run in on my DVD player through my TV so she can see it? The actual files are quite large and I'm told the quality is top notch so they should still display OK on a TV.

Cheers

I've never used this, it's simply something i've found via google, but http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Multimedia_and_... seems to say it does what you want.

I think you may struggle with the 'free' factor. I know I could do it via Nero, Pinnacle Studio or Adobe Premier Elements, but alas, none are free...unless you can find a 30 day evaluation copy from the manufacturer.

Sorry this doesnt help much, but good luck.

Dont most laptops have a TV output? From what I remember there is usually an S video output at the back. If yours has this then all you need is a cable and a TV with an S video socket.
