Yes I will be downloading it. I suspect it will be good - at the end of the day, have Google produced anything (e.g. Google Docs, Mail, Calendar) that isn't any good recently?

On one hand, who needs another browser.
On the other, Google have now got so much money and resources they probably could make a better one.
I suppose I'll have to try it rolleyes

I may give it a go, but it'll have to be good to tempt me away from Firefox.

That concept sounds fking great to me, so often a web page crashes and screws everything up. If only microsoft could stop outlook throwing a fit when a word document in Word has a bad day as that's what's wasted most of my time!

There's some really interesting stuff in there, particularly the multi-threaded processing capability, some of the Javascript stuff, and generally their approach to memory usage and stability. They do have such a vast budget for this kind of thing that they can genuinely do it properly. For me the clincher will be the uptake into the marketplace, and the volume of add-ins that are built for it. The best part about Firefox IMHO (apart from the speed and stablilty and compliance) is the add-ins which enable it to piss all over IE in terms of sheer functionality. If people do the same for Chrome, it could be a huge winner.

I think Microsoft genuinely need to think harder about making software that works, rather than bloatware that doesn't. Look at the bizarre interface on Office 2007 for evidence of this.

That has been fixed, all you need to do is look at anything that hasn't been made by Microsoft.

Don't use windoze so will have to wit for Linux version to see how it works for me

Some of us don't have a choice at work, I don't actually have a problem with XP, but IE needs to be more stable and faster (I don't want any more functionality - less if anything, don't even see the point in tabbed browsing) and I shouldn't even need to comment about the stability of office and outlook that shouldn't be in question - and never used to be an issue with office 97 from my memory so they've actively made that worse.

Looks naff, like it was designed by a 5 year old. I can't see it tempting me away from FF3. I've already uninstalled it.
