Lost adminstrator password on Win2k - Help!

My brother's win2k machine has somehow got it's administrator password reset, and he doesn't know what it is, so is ther any way of resetting it without knowing it?

Or am I just going to be doing a format and reinstall again?

Nope - use the bootdisk from here : http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ to reset it.

Use ntpasswd which is availble from the sysinternals site (or drop me a mail if you require). Dead easy.

As long as you have phyiscal access to a machine it's always easy to crack the root/admin password.
