Sony Ericsson Cybershot, best contract deals..
Discussion
Need a new phone as current SE W910i is giving up the ghost at 18 months old, I'm hoping to get the new 8.2 Megapixel (I think its 8.2) Cybershot phone for free and have a contract that cost me no more than £35 a month. I need about 1000 Texts and 300 minutes a month, has anyone found any good deals on these? Like the look of these phones and as its another Sony I can just plug in my memory card and keep my 500+ songs hopefully.
Short answer
No
I was in a similar situation last month and couldn't find anything less than 35/month that didn't require me to pay toward the phone too. You can't really get the latest phones cheap.
I've kept my n95 and switched to T-mobile solo 20; 20/month 600 minutes, unlimited txt and free internet.....only on a 30day contract too.

Hello,
I've got c905 (the 8.2 megapixel one). got it free from o2. am paying £30 a month but i can't remember what that gets me. it's not far off what you need though. also you get free 'bolt ons' which means you can add a certain amount of extra texts or minutes for free. give them a ring, they are usually pretty helpful. (judging by the call centre rant maybe i've been lucky with them!)
hope this is in someway helpful!!

Orange do the C905 for £30 pm 600 mins unlimited text, or 600 mins, 500 texts unlimited landline calls...
Both tariff come with free sat nav mapping and voice guidence which goes well with the in built GPS on the phone.
p.s. its 8.1 mp camera...
Sony ericsson are birnging out their 12 mega pixel camera 3rd or 4th quater of the year....

On Orange, you have to pay £78 for the phone on that contract. However, T-Mobile do it on near enough same deal, but phone for free. I wanted to be on Orange, so rung them up and told them. Got the phone for free, and pay £29.36 for unlimited texts, 600 minutes and some other bits. Both tariff come with free sat nav mapping and voice guidence which goes well with the in built GPS on the phone.

The phone is pretty darn good as well. The camera and picture quality is excellent for a phone.

That'll be the Idou, based on an operating system thats not yet ready for launch.C905's are either amazing or shocking. If you get a good one they are teriffic, if you get a bad one, no matter how many times it is repaired they seem to come back bad...
Reason being so I heard down the grape vine. After their burst into the market with great phones, say w810i, k700/k750 etc they switched their hardware componant manufacturer to some cheap chinese company... this coincidently was the start of their problems with turning off, freezing, features not working, settings resetting themselves... etc...
if its true, more fool them as they are not top of the tree any more, if its not, forget what I just said and it is just software problems...
