Quick question as I'm sure a number of you have had the same decision to make. I have been offered either of the above phones as my work point of contact - I ruled out the Pearl due to the keyboard so it's pretty much one of the above.

Having taken a quick look in CPW and spoken to a spotty youth who doesnt seem to know much, all I can gather is that the Bold is larger but has HSDPA, whereas the Curve is much sleeker and only does 3g - doesn't bother me too much as I doubt I will be using it for internet much.

Is there anything else I need to be aware of?

Cheers
Al

I'm in the same situation, upgrading from an 8820, AFAIK Curve doesn't have 3G but has a better camera. I've usually got a decent digital stills camera with me and do a lot of data so am going for the Bold, unless they bring out something new between now and early July when my upgrade is due.

I think if you do a lot of data then it makes sense to go with the Bold, I don't really.

From what I can gather, there's no other differences?

I went for the Bold as I use it for remote access as well as email / phone, at first it wasnt too reliable, crashing frequently and droping it's connection to blue tooth hands free. the latest firmware upgrade seems to have sorted it all out now smile

I've got a Bold and my ownership has been a horror story. The phone is good when it works, but I'm on my 3rd now in only 7 months. The first one had terrible reception, and I never got more than one bar. I sent back to CPW and 3 weeks later got a new one. Then about 4 months later, I had to send that one back because it had a mind of its own, randomly opening files, calling people and sending messages. CPW took 6.5 weeks to get me a new one! Then, when I finally got it back, the back case wouldn't clip on, so I had to get them to send me a new back. I do like the phone, but it is fking tempermental, and Blackberry take forever to do anything.

I had the same choice and chose the Curve.
The Bold has a slightly better screen and 3G but the curve is compact and uses Edge where avaliable.
The curve has uma which let's you use wireless at home for calls and texts etc if you have poor reception at home.
The curve is also more compact than the bold and in my opinion is aesthetically more pleasing.
I'd recommend the Curve to anyone.

Bold has video. I don't think the others do.

I'd imagine the Curve does video?

On the strength of this thread and a few reviews, I have gone for the curve, being compact is pretty important to me!
