Nokia N97 - Yay or nay?

Couldn't find a mobile phones section, so mods feel free to move this to wherever you like...

Looking around for a mobile phone to replace my 8GB iPhone (the original one).

So far seen the Blackberry Bold which is feature packed, but isnt the best looking.

Seen the N97 and it seems to have all the features of the Blackberry, but looks much better.

I will be using it for email regularly and light web browsing, as well as a phone - obviously!

Just wandering what the PH consesus is on either phone and what one is the one to go for.

I started a thread on this last week in the gadgets section. I was considering a Blackberry storm or an N97. Chose the nokia (If work will let me have it the awkward bds) because it has more memory, wifi and a decent camera.

I would suggest you go here http://www.engadgetmobile.com/ and have a read about all the latest phones out and about or coming soon then make a decision based on your requirements. A new iPhone may be just the job or perhaps you'd like openess of the soon to be updated Android OS or a Palm Pre might cover all the bases?

TBH i am probably going to get an n97.OS is a bit old but works fine and phone does whats required. Also watching the stress test it looks like its a nokia of old which you can batter to death and it will simply keep working.

I had a blast on the Nokia reps at work, it seemed a bit fiddly to be honest and I was more interested on the Nokia 6700. However, although it hasn't come in with Orange yet, the dummy we have a work is tempting me to give it another chance.
