Improve our logo..

Any bored graphic designers out there?

I've just joined a team at work who have this as their logo:


To me it looks a bit dated and lacking in flair. Anyone care to have a go at something better?

The only stipulations are:

1. It must be about the same size.
2. It must include the words "DIT" and "DiVA" (note the lower case 'i')

The tea-bag motif (yes, that's what it is) is optional.

A £5 beer token (via paypal) for the winner!

What is the context of the logo?

i.e. who is it for, what is their market/industry?

Do they make Tea Bags? I suggest using chimps or a monkeys face, or a monkey riding a bike in the logo.

Not tea-bags I'm afraid. The context is that DiVA is a financial software application run by the department DIT.

Something that reflects high technology, speed, profits etc would be good.

Can't you just have the words. Just colour the wrods differently.

Never really understood the need for a logo for things like this.
