why have smilies stopped working?

any ideas? when i click on the icon for smiles legend and formatting codes i get no response, usually the smilies would pop up but they dont now its only started happening when i started deleting things on my computer, which i thought i didnt need but i obviously do, and i have no idea what i have deleted....

ive just noticed, the bit at the top of pistonheads.com/gassing where you can select to see the newest postings has gone as well

This also happens on mine! BUT only when I have my POP UP stopper funcional.

POP UP stopper thinks that the Smiles Legend is a pop up!

how do i do that? sorry but im a bit of a numpty when it comes to computers. also on the autotrader website it wont let me select a make and model of car making the website a bit useless is it just me again? is their any way you can put all the internet settings back to default?

Both functions from Gassing Station, that you want to use are based on JavaScript IIRC.

There function can be disabled/enabled in your browser's settings. Here is a link to an explanation how to switch it back on:

just done that but its still not working any more ideas

Happened to me a while back. I could add/see smilies but they were not animated. I hadn't changed anything and then lo and behold they started again.
Very odd, perhaps your problem is the same?

on mine i just cant open the smiles legend page what tells you what to type. windows is so cr@p!!

i really need to use autotrader now, so what is stopping me seeing the bit where you select make and model of car?? is their anything i can reinstall?

i have got it sorted now, thanks for the replys. downloading the latest internet explorer did the trick
