system standby problem

dont know why or how this happened, but all of a sudden i noticed i can put my machine into standby, even on the little window where u can select standby restart and shutdown the standby button isnt activated. anyone know how to solve this.

Make sure power management isn't disabled in the BIOS

of you are using a microsoft product you can enable disble this in the taskbar options and also in the power managment settings IIRC
