I use two PC's (both W2K + Outlook 2K). My Laptop is setup to leave a copy on the server (NTL POP3) and the main PC to not.
Due to sending mails from both machines the mailboxes are not identical.
At the moment I have to export and then import from the .PST file to sync these.
Any ideas on an easier way to do this??? The PC's are networked.

I would be interested in that too, I've tried a few things but still couldn't get it exactly as I wanted it.

If you share the location of a central .pst file you can use the same one on both computers. Just not at the same time.

Paul+Alec,
From what I can understand a shared PST file is the only option. I'm currently setting up a 3rd PC as an FTP server so I'll probably use that.

One house, 3 PC's, how sad is that. Would you mind testing it's security when up and running?

Even sadder -
1 house
Win2k Server, 4 PC's and 2 laptops plus broadband access for guests via wi-fi...

have just rationalised kit at home by getting a compaq proliant 6500 from eBay..... allowed me to junk 3 or 4 old pentium boxes that were littering up the spare room....... they still are mind, but now they're stacked waiting for me to eBay them or more likely give them away (any takers )

so... now just have a workstation, a windows server with exch2003, a (Gentoo) Linux server doing qmail, apache, chroot-bind and vsftpd, oh, and a firewall box running Astaro.....

HEY, that's my house! Except servers outnumber PCs 3 to 1.

Had it confirmed via Microsoft. The only way to share a mailbox is to setup a mail server or locate the .PST on a shared drive.

Just ordered a Dual DVDRW drive to backup my data.
