Tv, Broadband and phone providers?

Anyone know if Virgin are any better than NTL were?

Thinking about ordering a pretty basic package with them for upstairs, but seen as i work from home i need reliable (quickish) broadband.

If you have the option of Sky and ADSL, I'd take it, to be honest.

If you haven't got an LLU provider for the ADSL, go for the cable option.

Virgin are just the same as Telewest/NTL

We have sky downstairs, and the cost of Sky+ multiroom package instalation was more than the Virgin package would be on a 12 month contract. We are also with Homecall/Talk Talk or whatever through BT (Downstairs) and the line is very slow, less than 1/4 the speed we pay for.

Its mainly downtime i'm worried about, most companies i've dealt with seem to lack when it comes to customer service.

ETA - Broadband with pipex at the mo.

I'm with Virgin and they're not too bad.
V+ box died the other week meaning I lost what was sitting on it, but not really their fault and they were out swiftly to take a look.

Only thing that irritates me it that you don't get the red button choice on Sky sports, nor Sky sports HD. If you are into your sports then you get better value for your money out of Sky.
Wasn't an issue at the time I signed up, and I don't see the point in paying £150 for a dish just for that.
