Skype problems

Sorry Mods, don't know where to put this so here goes...
I'm trying to use Skype to keep my remaining credit active, which I have to do in the next 2 weeks or I'll lose it, and it's saying "account blocked" every time I try to make a call to a phone or send an SMS.
Anyone else had this? Obviously I hardly use it, but I'd be quite keen to keep the credit I have.
Have emailed Skype help twice and not heard back.
