My mobile was about a foot or so away from my TV, got a call and the TV turned on!

The TV is an oldish Bang and Oulfsen Beovision and the phone is a Panasonic GD87 if it makes any difference...

eeerrr so what happened???

Rico

edit: just called myself from a mates phone and nothing happened. X2

Brazen hussy

PS Have no idea what's happening but you'd probably have to pay hundreds of pounds for a phone to do that. Nokia will probably bringing something similar out next year

I had a B & O TV. The remote you have is not an infra red one. B & O typically use different technologies such as Ultra-sonic (in the early days) and more recently Fm modulation. It is likely that your phone is interfering with the signal. Change your phone if you can't get a result as the TV must come first

No, it's the perfect excuse to get rid of the TV....

My old laptop used to change channels when the I/R port was turned on.

My P800 runs some software that can pretty much control everything. Fun in the pub.

Especially pubs that have TV's everywhere showing generic pub graphics, or music videos.....

It means you can keep an eye on the footie scores in a city centre pub on a Saturday by using teletext!

.... Or just turn the odd monitor off..... wait til a staff member turns it back on, then turn it off again....

Not that I've ever done anything like that before you understand.....
