Its like this. My computers taskbar at the bottom now has so many progs on it it is slowing my machine down. I have taken any out of the startup menu but there are still loads there that must be in the registery.
Now how can I remove them? If i use the selective startup tool its a right pain as it comes on everytime you boot up. I just want them out and gone.
Any suggestions
Mike

To start with I would look for ways to change the program's options so it doesn't automatically start at boot time. If it doesn't support that and you can do without it, then consider uninstalling. Failing that you can use Spybot or similar to prevent it from being launched during the boot sequence.

Start, Run & type msconfig. Click "selective startup" & then click the "startup" tab - untick 'em from there.
