I'm in the process of suing a former client. As part of this I need to find an important e-mail that has been auto-archived by my Outlook. Anybody who has any idea where it will have been archived to and how I can find it will automatically be entitled to beer.

According to my settings, the default location is C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\archive.pst

Yep mines the same. You can either import the file which will put all the mail back into its original folder, or simple open it as a personal folder.

Thanks chaps. I've found the archive, but I can't see how to open it to view the files. Any ideas?

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I shall now remove my IT dunce cap and go off to meet my lawyer with a grin and a swagger!
