For anyone who's ever seen my site and the videos I make, you'll recognise the sleepy-fish logo where the fish has ever decreasing 'z's floating away from it.

Well the time has come where I'm looking to animate it, but simply do not have the skills (what a surprise).

If anyone is able and willing to do this for me, I'd be extremely grateful. I can't offer funds unfortunately, but will gladly supply numerous DVDs from all previous and future Runs as a way of recompense.

Any thoughts, please, please get in touch.

Thanks,
LB

The file is a bit too big, the font is not antialiased, and the animation is not very sophisticated
Anyone improve this one?

Thanks guys....much appreciated. And thanks for the early (and very rapid) results.

Ideally what I'm looking for is a 3D animated colour angel fish.

If you've seen the windowsXP fish screensaver (Windows Plus I think), there's a beautifully 3D animated angel fish swimming around. Instead of blowing bubbles, he blows little "z"s as he's 'sleeping'. Like Docevi1's example, but moving/swimming like Bodo's.
Example:
www.geliosoft.com/3d-fish-school/sh6s.jpg
www.sfoarts.org/exhibits/240/amazon/8.jpg
www.twilightbridge.com/hobbies/aquariums/f26.jpg
www.divernet.com/photog/gallery/pics/timclark3.jpg
www.mjc70.co.uk/images/angs1.jpg

Ideally to have it at the start of every movie and video clip, lasting between 3-7 seconds.

To occupy no more than the bottom 1/3 of the screen to allow titles in the top 2/3, and on a black background, probably swimming in from the right, and settling down to sleep towards the left....not sure yet.

Either that or a caricature of a sleeping fish, animated (like the stuff at the beginning of the Dreamworks and Pixar films). Bit grand I know, but hey, I intend it lasting a long time, and becoming my brand.

Open to ideas, just looking for something that sums up the sleepy-fish principle, and something interesting, amusing and memorable.

Luca Brazzi "sleeps with the fishes". Wot, no Godfather?

Luca - the guy who did the MS screensaver is at www.serenescreen.com or www.fish-byte.com. There might be some good graphics starting points for you there. I'll give it a shot later today as my animated GIF tools are on another PC...

Fantastic so far.....

Bear in mind the finished result will have to be an .avi file (basically a video clip all of its own.

Thanks guys. Will have a closer look at all the links when I get home this evening.

LB (very grateful)

If you want to try it out here it is as an Avi.

Speeds can be adjusted of course, increase or decrease.

Ed, great fish, exactly what I'm looking for. You read the above description, which is the ideal thing.

But give me a call, and we can talk a little more about it.

Thanks
