I've arrived at the ipod revolution about 5 years late...

I've got a selection of the things but never really used them, but with going to the gym I actually have a chance to use the bloody things now!

any suggestions for some good podcasts to subscribe to?

WNYC's Radiolab (New York City's public radio) podcasts are incredible! Really insightful and thought-provoking. Better than the Radio4 stuff which is pretty damn good.

Radio 4 friday night comedy - 'clever' comedy, very good.

Frankie Boyle mock the week podcast - only one episode but it is pretty funny though.

Danny Baker show podcast - I was skeptical about this, but it is a gem. Plenty going on, football related and comedy, good guests as well.

If you are after something educational then coffee break Spanish is worth a download. Got a few before I went to Spain a couple of months ago. Really helped!

Another vote for TWIT if you're at all interested in technology - or any of the Leo Laporte podcasts (Macbreak Weekly is essential for Mac users!)

I've mainly listened to the main Twit, Security Now and Windows Weekly. Occasionally listen to Macbreak and Net@Night. I think one of the others (can't remember which) had an interview with one of the Apollo astronauts - absolutely fantastic listening.

This week in Google has been quite good at times too.

If you're interested in audio books, then its worth looking up :

JC Hutchins - 7th Son, split over 3 separate "novels" (all well written and read)
Scott Sigler - Earthcore, Ancestor, the Rookie, Nocturnal. They're a SciFi/Horror blend and generally absolutely gripping

Any of Ricky Gervais Podcasts or Audiobooks, with Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington (with a head like a fking orange).

They're all brilliant, and just very easy listening and great value for the audiobooks.

Agreed, I stopped with TWiT (still listen to Security Now / WW etc) after it seemed to become a chat show, with too much rimming and fawning of each other.

Agree with Security now, Steve Gibson really knows his stuff. Also used his data recovery and it worked and it was free. Check his website out really intresting
