Anyone had any experience of these phones? My better half is looking for one to renew her Orange contract with and Orange have withdrawn from sale the Satio and N97 Mini that she wanted...

If they have withdrawn them, they have since saturday and talking to the S/E rep on thursday, Orange were 100% behind them as it was only the generic ones that were really crap and not the ones with voda and orange UI... N97 mini has just launched, surly not enough time to find fault... not enough sold as they are/were a bit pricey....

Going back to your original question Id go s/e instead of the samsung, seems a nicer phone though have similar featurs other than touch screen for the samsung. your best bet is to go in and try them

A couple of friends have Satios, both are very happy with them. If you can, you should.

I have the SE W995 and it is a cracking mobile phone. It does all the things a smartphone can without all the niggles and fuss. Simple to use, great camera and walkman to boot.

Had the Samsung for a while now, the firmware is buggy, slow to react etc. Screen is great though.

My OH has the 995, had the K850 before it. No problems to report, easier to use than the 850 and good performance all round.

The last few Samsung phones I've had have been poorly thought out, buggy and generally not that good. They appear to built to meet a spec list with no thought as to whether they're actually any good at anything or not.

I just returned a satio to Car Phone Warehouse as it kept on freezing and in particular the bluetooth did not work properly as a headset in the car. Even though it was over 28 days they changed it without a problem for the Sony Ericsson Anio, which works perfectly. They did confirm that they have withdrawn them from sale at the moment as they were having a LOT of problems.
