Explain this - Computer related!

I'm alright with computers, I can explain a lot of things but this I cannot!

I just checked my email and received a few emails sent by me to myself (but I didnt), they were emails sent by me to other people....over 5 years ago.

I don't have any copies of these emails and have not sent them to myself, the only explanation I can think of is my ISP stores every piece of mail since I joined them and something weird has happened?

Sounds like the mailstore they use for each person (something like a pst file in Outlook) has reached its limit and is acting strange.
Probably worth contacting them and letting them know. Could be embarassing if people get emails not meant for them.
