I'm after a new radio alarm clock with a built in iPhone/iPod dock. It doesn't have to be anything fancy and I don't want to spend too much money. I'd like to spend no more than £60, but if it has significant geek credentials then I'm happy to spend a bit more. biggrin

I just need it to charge my iPhone at night, wake me up with the Radio and maybe play the odd tune from the iPhone every now and again.

Any recommendations?

I use this: Time Tuner

It’s a very good clock/radio/alarm iPhone app. Run that on your iPhone and pop it in the powered dock of your choice. That way you don’t need to find a dock that incorporates the clock/radio and you open yourself up to choosing from a much wider range of nicely designed docks.

Well done that man! That's great, I could just buy the Apple iPhone dock (or other? Recommendations if you have one) and use this application.

I don’t bother with a dock at all. I just plug my iPhone in to my computer to charge overnight and leave Time Tuner running. Because it’s only for waking me up and not for hanging around listening to, I don’t mind the tinny sound from the internal speaker!

Pure Chronos. They've released a new version (Chronos II at the same £100 rrp) but the old one can be found for £60ish online. Does DAB too.

Are you after something for home or something for travel? For travel the app sounds perfect but for the home something with DAB may be a little more useful.

Something like this seems to fit the bill.

Only fault....is that the brightness is quite bright!

That looks great, good price too.

Two questions, will they fit an I-Phone? And do they play MP3's through them from the I-Pod/I-Phone? We've got an old knackered CD/Radio in the kitchen that could do with replacing and I wouldn't mind a dock for the living room and bedroom either!

Yes and yes biggrin

I sat my iPhone in one of these in HMV only yesterday and it worked fine (with a case on!).
I am definitely getting one of these, HMV are £69.99 but Play and Sainsburys appear cheapest at £59.99

Quite like the look of that and a decent enough price as well. I'm pretty tempted to get something like that for our kitchen and then something smaller for the alarm clock in the bedroom.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-ICFC7IP-Clock-Radio-i...

And then when I get a fancy-schmancy sound system to go with the TV i can feed the I Phone through that for music in the living room.
