Recommend me a web to text service

Due to being stuck in the naughties I don't have a mobile which I can easily construct text messages on, but I do have access to my PC 24x7. Rather than struggle with the joy that is a Motorola phone and get arthritis in my thumbs I am thinking its going to be far easier to send SMS via the web, but haven't managed to track down a decent service. Any pointers?

Who do your have your phone contract with? I know t-mobile allow you to send text messages through their customer web site. Downside is they still take those texts out of your allowance.

In the past I've used aspsms.net and found them to be fine although it was a few years ago.
