I've received a couple of official looking emails from both UPS and DHL today saying 'unable to deliver parcel' with tracking numbers... however the emails seem to contain a trojan virus. There's no missing parcel (of course) and the tracking numbers are not ones that work.

Anyone else receiving these?

A friend of mine phoned to warn me of this just this morning. Not had one myself, but apparently they are rife and, UPs are trying to find a way to stop them.

Good (sort of), not just me then!

I've just installed a new Norton thingy which (hopefully) has saved my computer - it even says it has too. Perhaps the PH lot might view any emails from UPS or DHL with a very sceptical eye to save them getting a bug.

Got one this morning, binned it after having a look at the headers and data out of curiosity.

I didn't think to examine my email, I simply thought 'oh goody, I've got a parcel....' laugh

I've been receiving these for months.

They go in phases; it's currently a quiet time for DHL (only about 3 per day); the past couple of days were the "Hey, is this your photo" (about 60 or so yesterday), and beforehand was "Approved Viagra" in all its forms.

UPS won't be able to stop them.

We still get phone calls from people on our Help Desk and I have to be very persistent in telling them (and sometimes our Help Desk stadd) that no, they're not having the attachment from quarantine because it's fk all to do with the present they are expecting from Auntie Doris.

Had loads of customers ask me about it, told them it was defo a virus as UPS wont email them about collecting a parcel.

I had similar from Fed-Ex and Lynx in the past
