iPod classic volume cap
Discussion
Now, as I found out, you cannot uncap the volume limit on 6G iPod classic on EU iPods.
Now, if I buy one in the US, it is not capped.
However, will the cap be applied when I plug it into my computer? What about when the next software update for the iPod comes along? (I'm in the UK). Will the cap be subsequently applied?
I'm a little hard of hearing (from birth) so some quiet music I need to turn up.

Gopod works on older ipod but not on the latest ones so looking to see if I can get a US one but pointless if updates apply the cap as iTunes will know i'm in the uk.
Well as I am blighted with a preference for relativley poor sentivity headphones the whole volume thing became an issue for me - hence all of our iPods (classics, Touch and Nanao's) were purchased in the US of A. They all work fine and are sync'd to iTunes weekly - up until now there has been no issue with the volume lock - they are substantially louder than the Euro versions we still have (now used in the car).Gassing Station | Computers, Gadgets & Stuff | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
