Smartphones - Which one?

Need a bit of advice here, I'm not very knowledgeable about phones really.
I currently have the iPhone 3G 16GB which is a great phone but it has reached the end of it's contract now and I want to upgrade. As I said I don't really know phones so was just going to upgrade to the 3GS as the iPhone seems to do everything I want it to. however they want £190 to upgrade to the newer iPhone...
I want my phone to keep my music in one place and play it well, this is probably my main requirement, I listen to music all day and would not like to have a phone and mp3 player with me. I also like browsing the web on my phone and email/sms etc too.
I've been told to look at the HTC HD2, 3G S and the Nokia X6.
My friend rates his HD2 very highly but I don't know anyone with the X6 I think it only came out today? and of course I know the iPhone quite well.
So does anyone have info on the X6? Do you think it's suitable for my needs, Music, web browsing and email/sms.
Thought I'd just mention o2 have offered me the X6 free and they'd reduce my contract to £30 a month. So this seems like the best thing to go for at the moment.

The iphone has this problem I find. just sometimes crashes and takes me back to the main screen...If as you say it's more tuned to music then I think I'll go for it I think I can use it as 3g mobile broadband off my pc too right? Something the iPhone won't do.

I got a 3G at launch so am out of contract too. I dropped my tariff to the simplicity 30-day rolling contract which gives you all the same stuff but more minutes for £20/month.
Once we see what comes out in the summer I'll either upgrade or switch networks depending on what happens. Didn't feel the need to pay £190 and commit to another 18 months for a slightly faster iphone, and nothing else floats my boat.

If the X6 is like my E51 and the wife's N97, the Symbian S60 OS is pretty stable.
The X6 should be useable as a 3G modem ...
Be aware that there are now two versions of the X6 available: The 32GB original version that's been available for a couple of months, and a new 16GB version, which has just been launched. Aside from having half the memory capacity, the 16GB does not have Nokia's 'Comes With Music' package, if that makes a difference to you.

Was looking at some browser comparisons on gsmarena.
What was interesting is that they didn't try opera mini on the Symbian touchscreens.
Opera is hugely faster, and renders quite well. Gets 98 on the Acid 3, and gave java performance on my 5230 that was leagues ahead of anything they tested.
The X6 sounds like its a mixed bag, certain has some firmware issues, as with most Nokias.
