Currently working with a a bunch of iPAQ 114s.

Need to buy some more - cheaply (of course).

In fact I think these might be over spec'd for the project, I just need wireless, good battery life - about 2hrs would be great. Any suggestions for alternatives are welcome please.

These devices are only running a simple web app so no need for bluetooth or anything fancy like that - just a minimum 320x240 pixel screen resolution (or similar) and the abillity to run for 2hrs. (yes I know wireless bleeds the battery dry, and I'm trying to ensure that the WiFi traffic is kept to an absolute minimum on the software side of the design)

Plus if anyone knows how to lock these devices onto a single specified wireless access point SID I'm all ears. Had a problem last week where one device, after being switched on locked onto a public WiFi not the intended one that we were running. I've been through all the settings but I am obviously missing something in the connections 'The Internet / Work' settings.

I could be looking to buy a few hundred of these over the next 12 months so I want a good price and a small bit of support.

Any takers?

Thanks
Ex

Edit to add:
JavaScript and AJAX are a must have for this application.

I've had a HTC XDA Mini S for a few years now and can't be without it. Rarely use it for calls... mainly managing my life, running apps, reading ebooks.

Thanks fella.

I'll take a look.

As I said I only want WiFi to run a simple App in Internet Explorer, though reading back I didn't mention that JavaScript is a must as is AJAX. My App won't work without those features.

Thanks

ETA:
Right.. I took a look - I'm not after a phone here. I want what I would call a PDA
There is no opportunity for people in this project to make phone calls, though in all fairness there's no reason why a phone couldn't run the app.

As I said this is purely WiFi.
That's what I want - WiFi, nothing more, nothing less (well apart from needing JScript and AJAX)

NFI but look at the latest HTC models. I run a Java midlet on mine so it must be able to do Javascript on the latest models!
