Does anyone else have a problem with theirs? Mine is an unadulturated bag-o-ste.

Firstly the battery life is fking appalling - it goes from 100% to zero in 4 hours if i don't touch it at all. If i dare use the thing for e-mails and web browsing then the battery life is roughly 30-45 minutes. As a business phone it's fking useless when I'm travelling.

Only 1 in 6 calls actually comes through - the rest of the time it diverts straight to voicemail - even when I have a full signal.

I only get alerted to the fact that i have voicemail approximately 4 hours after people have left a message. I just got a 'ping' telling me I have a message only to find that I have got 7 voice messages - the first one having been left at 9am. Excellent.

50% of the time when I send a text message it won't let me. I have to copy the text, delete the entire text-thread, then paste it into a new message before it will send.

I've had it for about 4 months - I have the extended Apple Care warranty but haven't had chance to take it into an Apple store yet. In all honesty I want my money back and to swap it back to a Blackberry. I'd settle for a new phone - what do you think my chances are.

fking useless peice of crap. ranting

Take it to an Apple store. You shouldn't be having any of those issues. Unless I'm missing something it sounds faulty.

Agreed, sounds faulty, not had any of those myself (had mine for over a year). The battery is crap but it lasts a full day with moderate Ipod/ 3G use, even after a year.

Sounds like a faulty phone. Take it back!

I had a replacement phone that dropped about 10% of calls. It went back to apple within 3 days and was replaced inside a week.

If it's that bad, why on earth are you still using it?

Well, it's definitely faulty. You have to book an appointment at an Apple Store online ( http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/geniusbar/), then just go in and they'll probably just replace it. They're very helpful.

The only problem I have is that the nearest Apple store to me is about an hour away.

I'm still using it because I don't have a spare and I haven't had time in the last month to get to an Apple store.

Glad to know it's just mine though.

Best thing to do, go to an Apple store and show them, they will probably replace it on the spot if you can replicate the issues you are having (take someone with a phone to show and test the problems there and then).

Also, if you do need to return the phone, just nip out and pick up a pay as you go phone for your particular network. Dont know what you are on, but if its O2 then Tescos will be the cheapest for you, so grab a 10 or 20 quid phone for the short term. Swap the SIM's and its job done.

Had two now and the wife has had two - never had these problems.

So ring them up, give them your credit card details, they will send you a brand new phone. You then return the dead one to them and if they agree it's dead they refund the cost of the new phone to the credit card.

If it's not dead, you have a large bill and 2 phones.

I'd suggest sticking the sim in another handset to be sure it's not the network....

My iPhone is utterly dreadful. Continually dropping the network and not handing off properly. Crashes regularly. Sometimes decides it's just not going to start and stick with the apple logo until the battery goes dead. It's going back to Apple to be fixed / replaced at which point I see one of the new HTCs taking it's place...

Found time to go into the Apple store at lunchtme today. They swapped the handset for a brand spanker in under 10 minutes. Can't complain at that. clap
