Phantom files when copying mp3 files to memory card on a Mac

Hi

When I copy mp3 (not aac) files from my itunes library on my MacBook to a memory card it always creates phantom files and lots of odd files like "trashes" that I cant see on the mac, but I can on a windoze PC. So I then have to use my windoze PC to delete those files, since if I use the card in the car (which is why I'm doing this in the first place), i see lots of duplicate files on my iDrive screen....which is just confusing and annoying!

Does anyone know how I can either not get those files, or how I can see them on my mac, so I can delete them there rather than having to plug the card into the PC and delete them there - all a bit of a faff really...

In case you're wondering why I dont plug my ipod into the usb port in my car - thats not working at the mo... (but thats the subject of another post) - and the above has perplexed me for a while.

I use a program called hidden cleaner or finder cleaner when I need to remove Mac-specific invisble files from removable HDs/sticks. (FinderCleaner doesn't seem to work for me anymore on Snow Leopard)

They're basically resource files for the original file with the similar name - the contain info for icons, previews, etc.
