Following on from yesterday's thread on getting rid of some of my old kitchen and dining room furniture, the life laundry continues...

Nearly a working PC. Was going to reformat the HD but I think dust in the power supply made it cut out, so gave up.

Get in touch if you can make good use of any of the following, preferably taking the whole lot. But please bear in mind someone may be able to make very good use of it if they replace a power supply and get a new hard disk, so I'd rather not give it to someone who wants a couple of spare components, if you see what I mean.

Here's the spec:

Abit KT7Raid motherboard running a 1.1GHz Athlon chip
Around 584 Mb RAM PC100 (I think)
LG 52x CD ROM
Yamaha 16x4x4 CD writer plugged to a SCSI card in the ISA slot.
USB 4 port Hub
Lots of free PCI slots
Floppy drive
Microsoft Internet Keyboard

NOTE:
No Hard Disk (can't take the chance with my data)
No sound card
No modem

It may be just the power supply that failed, however it may have fried some other bits, so I cannot be sure you won't be taking a box of bits. That's why its free to the first worthy cause that gets in touch and will be coming to collect.

I'll take it for free

Where are you based?

I built a PII 400 PC for my grandad (801 years old) which he uses a fair bit, this could be a nice upgrade for him

My aunt also needs a new CD Rom drive too, so I can swap that around.

Will you be going to VW? If so I could collect there.

Sounds good to me. It should fit in the boot of the Tuscan, although I'm sure the vibrations won't do it any good ....I'll wrap it in blankets, suggest you do the same.

The case has been a little "modified", and now has a perspex side, but should cause any issues. As I said, I hope its just the power supply. Still have the motherboard manual, so I'll bring that and any other useful things that might help.

You'll need to make a point of finding me so email me your mobile number.
