On my PC i use truecrypt to encrypt the entire drive, it's good in that you are prompted pre-boot for a password and the entire disk is encrypted.

Is there anything similar for the MAC? i downloaded truecrypt but that just appears to want to create me a virtual drive and doesnt encrypt the entire system, is there anything else?

Thanks
Chris

Why download anything? It's built in, just need to turn it on.

Called FileVault, in System Preferences somewhere.

Only does home folders but that's all you should need it to do.
