Using an app called airsharing, (which used to be free), you can use iphone/ipod as a wireless file server, pdf viewer, etc, and email from that.

If you have mobileme, you can also email stuff directly from your idisk, (well, a link to the file anyway)

Just had a look on Quickoffice, as well, and you can email 'pdf's from that also

I do find it curious when people answer questions so unequivocally, and yet find themselves to be so wrong.
