Which Smartphone?
Discussion
So next month i'm due an upgrade & looking @ a smartphone.
I'm not into hacking them & want something that's going to work "out the box".
I was hell bent on a 3GS a while back but don't feel like one of them anymore as a mates just got a Motorola Milestone & it's a pretty sweet phone.
What's going to be the ideal to go for?
I liked the idea of a Nexus one but it does'nt have a keyboard & is going to be quite expensive!
I like the Milestone as it has a keyboard whcih is a big plus!
The Xperia X10 looks awesome & it has a top camera aswell by the looks of it.
The HTC Desire is practically a Nexus anyway isn't it?
Anybody have any views on which one they'd go for?

Sounds like you want a Milestone?
I'd go for the N1 personally. Can't see what the Desire offers over it for the price difference and it lacks the extra mic for noise cancelling. Not sure I can see the N1 being any more expensive than an iphone and definitely not than the Desire, although it'll have a larger upfront cost direct from Google.

do you send long emails regularly from your phone or just texts? if just text and short emails then I advise you will be fine without a physical keyboard and so get a HTC Desire/other android phone.
My other half has the same phone as me- a HTC Hero, she is far (far far far) from remotely being a techy, and is happy & comfortable with it.
You don't need to hack it in anyway- works fine out of the box.
Nexxus one would be overkill as its more for techys who want an out of box open phone with latest updates.

I use it for emails when i'm not @ the computer but it's only personal use, Fbook etc.
I'm only swaying towards the Milestone as it has a keyboard.
Has anyone had the X10 yet?
Any definitive dates on release?
X10 release is 29 March with the HTC desire/legend release on 8 April according to Mobile Fun websites. Carphone Warehouse also have the X10 as March release.I'm only swaying towards the Milestone as it has a keyboard.
