Quick Question.

What are netbooks like? I know they arent going to be as good as a laptop, but are they ok for surfing the tinterwebnet, mainly PH and ok for sending recieving emails?

More specifically the Asus 1005H.

Just got exactly this model as a refurb on Ebay from Argos. It's a cracking little bit of kit and far nicer than my Acer One.

Mine is the XP version with Bluetooth, 160 Gig Hard Drive and 6 Cell battery, I paid £154.00 and it's in absolutely mint condition with 12 months warranty.

Yes. Precisely what were created for. If you have good eyesight, that is!

Yes, it's very good for basic web use and word which I use it for. I think they are a bit expensive new (£250ish)so shop around for a refurb and you will get a machine that's like new at half the price.

They are brilliant for short periods of use in my opinion. They normally have bags of features; camera, bluetooth etc. But, I couldn't use one for hours on end as the keys are too small for me, and the screens are usually relatively low-resolution.

Go and have a play with a few in PC World, then buy elsewhere (Ebuyer).
