Having a sudden and unexpected problem with my pc at the moment. I was using it this morning, everything was ok and it shut down properly. However I have gone to use it this afternoon and it is suddenly not working for some strange reason. Basically I turn it on in the usual way by using the on button on the front of the case, but all it does is power up for about 10 seconds and then resets itself. It then keeps on repeating this cycle until I turn it off at the mains. So has anybody got any ideas of what could be wrong and what I should check? Any help would be very much appreciated. It is a home built pc with a cooler master silent pro power supply (600 watt), gigabyte ga-x38 ds5 motherboard, intel e6750 processor, 2 gb of corsair xms2 ram and a sapphire radeon hd 3650 graphics card.

Firstly unplug everything from the PC. Disconnect your mouse, keyboard, monitor - absolutely everything. With only the mains lead attached, try and start it then and see what happens. If it starts, then shutdown (just pull the plug in this instance) and plug things in and restart one by one until you find the one that causes it to glitch.

If it wont start with everything disconnected then open it up and disconnect all sata/ide/floppy leads and try again. If still no joy, check all leads and memory modules are properly seated.

If still no joy, post back here.
