I've just discovered that pressing Ctl D adds whatever web page you are browsing to your favourites. This clue is not shown in the menus? or am I missing something. I have IE 6.

Do you know that if you have a url with a .com you can just type in the middle bit, e.g. "Pistonheads" and IE will do the www and .com bit for you if you hit Ctrl + Enter?

and if your pc is on a .com domain, you can just type in the www.pistonheads bit and merely hit enter and it'll sort itself out eventually.

I find the auto-complete very useful. For exmaple, you type in 'www.pis' and IE fills in the rest for you, based on your history. Mozilla does this as well.

I keep my top 8 or so favourites on the toolbar at the top, just a single click required. However the PH button is getting a bit worn out

Even quicker way for .com addresses that are not in your favourites: Just type the site eg 'pistonheads' and hit ctrl+enter, explorer automatically adds the 'www' and '.com' parts and loads the site.

Do keep up!!!!

Also, while we're on the handy tips, I find it really useful to have the Google toolbar installed
