Has anyone ever used 1Gb of data on an iPhone?
Discussion
So, has anyone and how? Vodafone give me a 1Gb allowance per month and I'm twitchy on how soon it'll be gone - I know streaming and downloading files takes up a lot but browsing will make up the most of what I'll be using.
I wish I could keep track of it but apparently Vodafone will just bill me without warning if I go over it.
ETA: It's a monthly allowance I get - obviously. And this information makes the thread no more interesting.

Thought these things tended to be a 'fair use' policy so they would just give you a slap on the wrist if you went over.
My brother has a G1 on t-mobile with a 1gb fair useage, and AFAIK he has never gone over it.
I'm with orange and I'm due a renewal about now and was intending to get an iphone. 750mb (fair use I think) though, and I'm a web developer/tech - wouldnt be surprised if I use more.

Really? That surprises me. What if it was'nt over 3g though - would that make much difference do you know?

Can't see it being an issue to be honest? 1gb of data over 3G would take you over a month to download
I managed to use 8Gb on my netbook in a month with T-mobile. Admittedly some of that was on 3g+.

Erm? Really?
I've got a test running in the lab on my 3G cell and 1Gb download is going to be well under 200seconds.
Even if you meant GigaBytes, and not GigaBits, it'll well under half an hour. And that's not using a particularly fast phone.
