Hi all,

I currently have a Homehub ver. 1. BT are sending me out a Version 2 tomorrow which is nice.

Currently the homehub is upstairs in the office with my PC connected via an ethernet cable.

I want to connect my TV, Bluray player and Humax box that are downstairs to the internet. The wireless dongles for the TV and Bluray are £50 each so not an option.

I thought I could run one of the homehubs as a repeater but after trawling around the internet it seems that you can do this with 2 version 1 homehubs but not with a version 2 hub as it doesn't support it.

Anyone got any ideas?

The other option is to connect the hub to a phone line downstairs that I think is behind the TV unit (not sure though, I think the previous people had Sky so I'm half certain there is an extension there) and get a wireless dongle for the PC upstairs.

Don't want to worry you but I just my version 2 of the home hub and have had nothing but problems with my connections and the unit freezing. When I called them to complain they told me that they are experiencing problems with a lot of these units and that I should upgrade my firmware asap.

Just had our home hub 2 installed with BT Infinity. We had problems with the laptops and xbox losing the wireless connection...or something. Spoke to the BT nerd and he talked me through changing the wireless channel. Job done and perfect again.
