I'm just upgrading an SBS 2008 installation and came across the warning "You do not have the Microsoft Report Viewer 2008 Redistributable installed, you will not be able to use the console after upgrading. Please download it after the upgrade has finished".

WTF???? If you're going to the trouble of producing a patch at least make the fking thing work. Lazy bd shoddy s, here's a tip. If you take some software that works and leave it in a condition where it doesn't work you've fking failed.

0/10, see me after class.

I've now got to go and find the bit of software these useless s were too lazy to bundle with the main upgrade.

Twats!

I'm sure Mr Ballmer will be along shortly to explain why it's done like this and why you, the paying customer is wrong. Again.

Bah, I ordered a server with 2008 web edition to act as our DNS server.

They removed DNS from the 2008 web server edition.

They removed DNS from the WEB SERVER edition.

They put it back in R2.

Microsoft are planks.

Ok, count to 10. 1.2.3.4.5....

The Bannatyne one is right shout Mr Jobs, I'm on my way biggrin

Don't get me wrong, I think SBS2008 is an utterly fantastic platform for small businesses but when MS release their own updates and then break their own product I want to get medieval on someone's ass irked

Did I mention that Ex2K7 SP2 breaks SBS 2008? Yup, the Exchange team don't test with the SBS team and vice versa. You now have to download a separate SBSUnbreaking utility and use that to deploy the service pack. Oh and the s uninstall your SSL certificate just to be mischievous? Why? If I've gone to the trouble of installing an SSL cert don't you think I just might want to use the fking thing?

My Event Logs were bloody spotless before I started with all the updates grumpy
