Right then.. I am due to go on holiday for a couple of weeks from tomorrow. But i want to turn the Emails off. Can this be done without the need to get it setup again with the Blackberry Server at work???

I dont mind taking phone calls but i dont fancy recieving countless alerts of emails through the next few weeks.

Thanks

Can you just turn the alerts off? A quick google suggests you can use the profiles to set the email alerts to silent.

settings - mobile network- set data services to No.

That should do it, at least it did for me in Thailand at Christmas.

Can you not either go to:

Settings
Mobile Network and then select data off

Or

Under profiles select phone only (the options will be something like loud, quiet, phone etc.

Left my BB at home so don't have the exact steps in front of me

remember that if you switch off the data, when you turn it on again it'll start receiving all of your unopened emails in batches of about 5 every 20 minutes. Which mine did when I registered it with my already set up email account with about 100 unread crappy emails that I'd never deleted.
