Easiest way is to place the pics in a folder somewhere on your pc, and then iTunes when your phone is connected choose the sync pictures tab, and then select the folder that you put the pics in.
Hope that makes sense.
That's what I did and it didn't work. Shall try again later Hope that makes sense.
From elsewhere
Depending on which platform you use (Mac or PC) the technique to adopt for copying the content of the "Camera Roll" is slightly different, but the general principle remains the same: the iPhone is supposed to "mount" on your computer like any other camera or USB storage device once plugged to computer.
- On a Mac, I would advise to use the built in application called "image capture":
Once launched and connected, the left pane will show your iPhone in the "Devices" column.
From there you can import whichever pics you like to wherever you like.
- On a Windows machine, the built-in program that you will use is called:
"Scanner and Camera Wizard" (it is found under All Programs/Accessories)
Once you launch it, it will show the iPhone in the first dialog box prompting you to choose "which device you want to use", and the rest is a walk-through, self explanatory.
That said, it is weird that Apple does not let users copy the pictures that were imported using iTunes into the iPhone (the albums that are displayed in the "Photos" app on the device. In order to recover those, you will have to use another soft (for mac an PC) that resembles the two here before but that will need to be paid for (in most cases). There are a couple of them out there, but my choice is for Picsaid, precisely because it looks like Image Capture, so it is pretty easy to use and self explanatory.
