You: Hello, Can I speak to Steve please?
Them: It's not Steve (unless his name is Steve and then you have his first name)
You: Oh sorry, Who is this?
Them: James.
You: James Smith?
Them: No, James Rogers.
You: Oh, sorry I think I have the wrong number. Bye.


Then you have his name!
