Repairing broken LCD on an HTC

Had a little incident last week, in which my HTC tattoo ended up getting run over by my mothers car.
The phone is in working order but the screen is cracked. Not too bad considering it was ran over.

Does any one know how hard these are to fix? I have a quote for 90 quid to replace the screen.
Anyone had any experience repairing an HTC that can give me any tips or direct me on how to replace the screen cheaper than 90 quid.

Sounds about right. I had a couple of old HTCs done two years ago (pre-ebay) and they were about £85 then.
