Message from O2 "2030"

Mrs Ted just got a message on her phone

sms said:

O2: Your phone should now be set up. If you have any problems try switching your handset off/on. If you need to get settings again, text ACTIVE to 2020

It was after she'd been looking at the settings in her phone. Anyone know what might have triggered it or what it is?

Which settings may she have looked at - may have something to do with WAP/GPRS settings. These can usually trigger updates etc.

I believe WAP settings are sent via this number. A colleague at work had the same text on Saturday when playing with the settings on his new Nokia.

Just Googled it and it does indeed appear to be WAP settings.

There's a get settings button in one of the menus, she's probably hit that button by accident. At least now, she's got the latest upto date settings for her phone.
