Possibly a stupid question, anyone else use vodofone business contracts, and are there any issues with it over standard consumer contracts / hidden things I'm missing? was looking at an iphone yesterday and the salesperson was pushing me toward a business contract based on my useage (I've sent about 100 text in the last 10 years I've had this phone, so don't really need 3000 texts a month...) but I have a distinct lack of trust for anything vodafone employee related!

If you value your sanity, run far far away from the iPhone.

Don't be silly, I had an iPhone and thought that. Then I downgraded to a Samsung Tacco Ultra, Jesus effin Christ. I now have an iPhone again. Never will I step back into a normal phone as they are just too stupid these days.

Vodafone business is good. Good customer service, good coverage, texts and voicemail alerts come through straight away, easy to set up email push etc

An iphone for business? You must be joking. Iphone is a toy that on a good day can make phone calls. I have one cause I like toys. But when your livelihood depends on it, you need to view documents, store numbers, connect to your car bluetooth, get excellent battery life, get a Blackberry. I have a Curve for business.

If your livelihood depends on it definitely don't get a blackberry.

Really don’t understand where they've got their reputation from. My company upgraded the sales team to Blackberrys 4 weeks ago. 75% have had to go back due to faults. I'm on my fourth!

Signal is appalling, no signal on O2 sat on the M25 with an Iphone also on O2 sat next to it with full signal. Call quality’s terrible. Freezes all the time, bluetooth won't stay connected. Browsers useless. I could go on all day.

Odd. I'd say your issue there is more with O2. Voda gets full signal round the M25, save for around the A20 and A2. O2 is intermittent at best, just on the M3, nevermind the 25.
Never had any issue with freezing, call quality has been good though it was better on Voda (we're on O2 now - I think we saved about a tenner a month and now I have no signal in my office - handy). And my bluetooth connection to the car has been faultless.

Dont use the browser as I pick-up the iphone for that.

From the "for business" aspect, I'll only use the iPhone in exactly the same way I use my current 10 year old brick-on-a-stick - to talk to people. I'm intentionally ensuring I'm limited in capability or I'll never get any peace hehe The iPhone is purely a toy for me in all respects other than the fact it's a phone, it is the vodafone business contract that worried me more!

Odd you report these errors.

I have had my 9700 Bold for 3 months now, no issues with signal in any major area on orange bluetooth is faultless, browser isnt THAT bad for what you use a mobile browser for, email/alerts is great, diary is great, apps are limited but the ones that are available are useful.. there is no problem with a blackberry for business at all..

There has been some "freezing issues" with various apps on the phones but most of these have been upgraded and debugged - mine hasnt locked up at all since the debug on Ubertwitter back in early Feb.

iPhone for show, blackberry for a pro - sorry.. getmecoat
